Richard J. Squadron is of counsel to Smith Kane Holman and focuses his practice on sophisticated corporate law transactions. Rich joined the firm of Smith & Giacometti in 2005, following more than 20 years of experience as an attorney, financial executive, and consultant on mergers and acquisitions, strategic management, and financial matters. Rich has advised and assisted unaffiliated and in-house clients, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to closely held businesses and companies, to individual clients.

As a highly regarded corporate attorney, his areas of expertise include: mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures; restructurings and workouts; project finance; joint ventures and partnerships; equity formation; banking and real estate.

Prior to joining Smith Kane Holman, Rich spent six years as an independent business and legal consultant and as a principal at a boutique mergers and acquisitions and strategic management consulting firm in Wilmington, DE. Rich also spent nearly a decade as CFO and/or acting general counsel to the competitive subsidiaries of Delmarva Power & Light Co. (now Conective) and the MidAtlantic Region of NRG Energy, Inc. Prior to joining Delmarva,  Rich practiced for 5 years as a corporate attorney with Pepper, Hamilton & Scheetz in Philadelphia.
