Tim Holman to Speak on Pennsylvania’s New Power of Attorney Statute

December 19, 2014

Tim Holman will speak at the March 3, 2015 quarterly meeting of the Probate and Trust Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association on New Pennsylvania Power of Attorney Statute: What You Need to Know NOW.”

The seminar is presented by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute (‘PBI”), and CLE credits will be awarded for this timely and informative presentation.  Pennsylvania’s new Power of Attorney Statute takes effect on January 1, 2015.  Tim and his fellow panelists, Peter J. Johnson, Esquire, Senior Vice President of Pennsylvania Trust Company and Bradley D. Terebelo, Esquire, of Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager, P.C., will discuss their thoughts about the language of the statute, the problems it was intended to address and some potential problems it created.  By the time of the March 2015 presentation, our panel will have two months of practical experience with the statute to share with our audience.  With a new statute in place, and especially with baby boomers aging and a resulting increase in the use and abuse of powers of attorney, all lawyers can learn something from the seminar.

The March 3, 2015, presentation will take place at the PBI Conference center in the Wanamaker Building at Broad and Market Streets in Philadelphia, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.  To sign up for this seminar, click here
