Tim Holman Speaks on Panel at Barristers Association of Philadelphia

April 15, 2016

On April 13, Tim Holman, along with The Honorable George W. Overton of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, Orphans’ Court Division, and Shabrei Parker, Esquire, presented a seminar on “An Introduction to the Orphans’ Court” to the Barristers Association of Philadelphia (a meeting kindly hosted by Pepper Hamilton, LLP).

During their presentation, Tim and his fellow panelists also discussed Pennsylvania’s new State Orphans’ Court Rules of Civil Procedure, which take effect on September 1, 2016.  According to its website, “established in 1950, the Barristers’ Association of Philadelphia, Inc.’s purpose, then and now, has been to address the professional needs and development of Black lawyers in the City of Philadelphia through programs such as seminars, cultural events and publications.”

Tim and his fellow members of the Executive Committee of the Probate Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association are committed to encouraging and developing increased diversity in the Trusts and Estates bar, and Tim sincerely appreciated the opportunity to join Judge Overton and Shabrei Parker in demystifying Orphans’ Court practice to encourage a vibrant and diverse Trusts and Estates bar.
