Tim Holman Presents on Orphans’ Court Practice and Procedure for Pennsylvania Bar Institute

On August 20, 2025, Tim Holman was a faculty member for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute seminar “Litigating in Orphans’ Court 2025” and presented on Orphans’ Court Practice and Procedure. Tim’s presentation on Orphans’ Court Practice and Procedure covered a diverse range of topics including procedure for compelling accounts, audit litigation, petition practice in the Orphans’ Court, and how discovery works in the Orphans’ Court, among other important topics. Tim discussed best practices for representing fiduciaries and beneficiaries in the Orphans’ Court, as well as relevant and recent caselaw, presenting a broad array of valuable insights into practicing in the Orphans’ Court. Tim also joined in the lively panel discussion about the other topics covered during the seminar – the Ethics of Using A.I. in Estate Litigation, Guardianships, the Multiple-Party Accounts Act, Will Contests, Surcharge Litigation/Removal of Fiduciaries and Attorneys’ Fees, Fiduciaries’ Commissions and Costs.

The seminar was recorded by PBI, and will be available for purchase and viewing on PBI’s website soon. The seminar is eligible for six hours of CLE credit, including one hour of ethics, and is highly recommended for practitioners counseling fiduciaries, anyone involved in Orphans’ Court litigation, and litigators looking for the most recent relevant caselaw on a variety of issues affecting fiduciaries, beneficiaries, and their counsel.
